Dr Damin Wan BM, MMed, MBAcC, MRCHM
Dr Wan is a Chinese doctor specialising in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine in Bristol. He is highly medically qualified, having studied both Chinese and Western medicine for eight years at Shanghai University (1980-88).
After being awarded bachelor’s and master’s degrees in medicine, Dr Wan gained considerable experience in clinical practice in a university hospital, as well as teaching in the university for five years (1988-93). He has published six research papers and four books on Chinese medicine and acupuncture.
Dr Wan was invited to come to England in 1993 as a fully qualified practitioner and vastly experienced acupuncturist, Chinese herbalist and lecturer in Chinese medicine. He has built up a very busy practice and has taught acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine to hundreds of British students and European medical doctors.

Dr Wan’s work integrates well into mainstream medical practice and he works together with GPs and specialists. 23 female patients were treated during the year 2008-09:
15 (65.21%) conceived, among whom 12 (80%) were natural pregnancies and the remaining were assisting IVFs. 9 (60%) were between 37-42 years old.
32 female patients were treated during the year 2010-11:
21 (65.63%) conceived, among whom 18 (85.71%) were natural pregnancies.
